FOR HIGH QUALITY WORKPIECES WITH A LOW LEVEL RESIDUAL STRESS

  • Stress relief for small workpieces (few kilograms) to large metal structures (several tonnes)

  • Diagnostics to determine treatment time and effectiveness

In 2016 we started to look for a solution for a problem affecting our production. In the next years we invested more in a new R&D project, within we developed our manufacturing technology focusing on a research in connection with vibratory stress relief. We were able to use our newly acquired knowledge in case of casting and welded stuctures also. The results were very positive and it was evident that we have to step forward. That is why we continue  the research on acoustic stress diagnostics in relation to small series castings.
Residual stress is one of the most common problem which cause deformation after of during machining.
There is an increasing demand from customers for products ready for installation so that is why we all need a complete stress relief process, which is not just efficient, but competitive in terms of both energy and time requirements.

Our basic aim was to develop a low-cost diagnostic system in connection with VSR, which is based on the acoustic response of the workpiece. During the development it was also very important, that the full system can be used in industrial environment, and it can determine whether the part need to be treated, and with what kind of treatment should be applied. Firstly this means which frequency and how long. Another advantage is that this is a non-destructive testing methode, which can be used for a prediction for residual stress. For manufacturers, with this system residual stress can be decreased, and the number of rejects can be also reduced.
The measurement images developed by us with a unique acoustic spectrum recording are not only suitable for determining the natural frequencies of metal castings, but can also be deduced residual stress, which can cause deformation later. From the changes between the measurement images, the effect of different machining and even aging on the casting can be seen. Of couse it can be used for welded structures also. Furthermore, the required input frequency for vibration stress relief can be easily determined from the images. Some of the main advantages are the process obtained quickly, easily and immediately. In the years we have also developed a complete acoustic diagnostic system and a software with an online platform. Last but not least, this type of diagnostics is easy to implement in industrial work areas, even factories and foundries, as it does not require a large area, it is not energy and investment-intensive.

Our company, the T.E.T.T. Mérnökiroda Ldt. was founded in 1996 by hungarians and the main profile was commercial. A few years later, mostly with other producers, the company succesfully started their own factory, in 2007 our first own production hall was built in the industrial zone in Baja, Hungary. Today, we are machining parts and complete machines, mostly for foreign markets, in two modern production halls of 1550 m2 (the third one is under construction), with offices and with nearly 50 skilled employees.

We are still improving our technology, competitiveness and resource efficiency, optimising production, management and overall operations from an environmental perspective - all to compensate the negative effects of crises and take advantage of market opportunities.

  • QUALITY          - Providing modern equipment and tools to work effectively

  • KNOW-HOW      - Train and educate our employees

  • FLEXIBILITY         - Departments and workstations adapted to the needs of the market

  • ENVIRONMENT      - Avoid of polluting activities

  • RESPONSIBILITY     - Use  alternative energy

  • INFRASTRUCTURE     - Provide suitable technical and comfortable facilities (production halls, laboratories, offices)

OUR COMPANY

Our main profile is machining parts for industrial facilities and equipments. We are fully prepared to fulfil the requirements of the sector. Typically our customers order small series from different products, that is why we are continuosly developing our equipments, from welding to turning and cutting.  Besides we also produce other machinery part sor even outdoor furniture.

OUR MISSION

Our goal is to be a leader in the metals industry, building on the satisfaction of our partners through quality work, continuous learning and innovative solutions.
